We all know One Piece is a newer TCG and inherently carries a bit more risk than an established game like Pokemon. That said, a OP-09 booster box investment is almost guaranteed to make you money over the next couple years. This blog post will explain why.

Insane Depth
We have already featured OP-09 booster boxes on the blog as I put it as the second best One Piece booster box to invest in. Emperors in the New World features 5 Manga cards. These include Blackbeard, Buggy, Shanks, Luffy, and the infamous Gol.D.Roger rare worth $3000 raw.

This is currently the only card in the One Piece TCG worth over $3000 raw, and is going for over $6000 in a PSA 10, and $12000 in a BGS 10 Black Label.
This alone should be enough to justify a OP-09 booster box investment.
However, the set also contains strong Special Rares like the Nami SP and Boa Hancock SP. We also received WANTED poster cards for the first time since Pillars of Strength (OP-03).
Restock Resilience
OP-09 booster boxes were restocked at many stores only a few months after release. As a result, we saw the box price dip from a high of $200 down to $165 on TCGPlayer. However, we have already seen the box rebound back into the $185-$190 range only a couple months after dropping back to $165. A very impressive rebound.
On top of that, Bandai is playing catch-up this year to prepare for simultaneous language releases next year. Although this doesn’t guarantee no more reprints, it certainly reduces the chances and presumably the size of reprints if they come.
Conclusion
A OP-09 booster box investment is one that should considered. The booster box has depth that is only rivaled by PRB-01 with arguably the best chase card in the entirety of One Piece. Even at current market price, OP-09 seems like a great play.
