An OP-13 booster box investment is one of the best decisions you could make heading into 2026. In this blog post, I’ll explain why.
Unrivaled Depth
Carrying On His Will is a set like we’ve never seen before. Before its release, the deepest set was OP-09 with a top 10 value of less than $8000 USD. However, OP-13 carries over double that value in the top 10 cards. This is the main reason why OP-13 was my top booster box investment of December. However, don’t just take my word for it, let’s take a look.
As you can see, OP-13 contains some of the most popular characters in the series including Luffy, Ace, and Sabo. There are also Shanks gold and silver SPs adding another $2000 of the value to the top ten cards.
For context, the Luffy Red Manga alone is currently worth more than the top 10 value of any other set that Bandai has previously released.
Pre-Errata Ace
Another reason to snag a 1st print OP-13 booster box investment is the potential to pull an Ace Wanted poster. Normally, WANTED posters aren’t super expensive. However, the Ace from OP-13 is an error card that contained the wrong text. As such, the card is pushing $600 USD and is incredibly desirable.
The God-Pack Effect
Carrying On His Will also contains the Gorosei God-Pack in English. These are rare alternate art versions of the Five Elders. Each card individually is worth between $400-$450, but we are routinely seeing the set sell on Ebay for $2000-$2500 USD.
This isn’t the first English set to receive a God-Pack, but it is a welcome edition to the set that adds even more depth to an already insane lineup of cards.
The Reprint Potential
The important thing to consider about an OP-13 booster box investment is the potential for a reprint. Although I am a massive fan of OP-13 and bullish on it long-term, you should expect Bandai to reprint the booster boxes in 2026. When this reprint inevitably comes, it will be a great opportunity to DCA and add to your position of sealed OP-13 booster boxes.
