The best Pokemon Elite Trainer Box investment you can make in May 2025 is going to depend on how much you are willing to invest. On this list, we will have Elite Trainer Boxes ranging from $60, all the way up to $300! These are all boxes that I believe, based on secondary market data, are primed to do great things over the next 3-5 years.

1: Brilliant Stars
I figured I’d throw a curveball in at the start of the list. Brilliant Stars ETBs could be a great investment right now for one reason, the booster boxes just exploded.
Normally, ETBs lag behind, but because the booster box is now pushing $450 USD, we should expect to see a larger than normal push from these ancillary products in the short term.
You can find Brilliant Stars Elite Trainer Boxes on Hobbiesville.
2: Shrouded Fable
Normally, “Shrouded Fable” and the “best Pokemon Elite Traainer Box investment” would not be found in the same sentence. The set is not super deep. Outside of the Persian and Houndoom illustration rare cards, there isn’t much to get excited about from a collector’s perspective.

That said, Shrouded Fable is selling at almost 8 ETBs per day on Ebay, which is a respectable rate considering a supply of only 216 boxes listed below $68.39 USD. Over the next couple months, I would not be surprised to see this box make a move into the $65-$70 range.
The set is also not a priority reprint for Pokemon, meaning we aren’t super likely to see a bunch of ETBs dumped on the market anytime soon.

3: Prismatic Evolutions
Nearly three months ago, I wrote an article about why you should invest in Prismatic Evolutions. Even though we have seen reprints/stocks, the same rationale applies.
Prismatic Evolutions is the deepest Pokemon set we have seen since Evolving Skies. As of May 19, 2025, the total set value is $9564.12 CAD. Sure, this is down from over $11,000 a few months ago, but this is completely normal and expected as more product comes to market.
The set contains some of the most desirable cards in the entire Scarlet & Violet era including Umbreon EX, Sylveon, EX, and even some non-Eeveelutions like Dragapult EX and Roaring Moon EX.

The set is also selling at an INSANE rate, which is another argument for why it’s the best Pokemon Elite Trainer Box investment. Last week on Ebay, over 90 ETBs were selling per day.
If you want to know how I know that, I run the most comprehensive Pokemon and One Piece market spreadsheet. This is where I do weekly updates for the most important Pokemon investments.
Based on this sell through rate, this box is primed to move back up in the short term and is already proving that future reprints will get chewed through fast.
You can buy Prismatic Evolutions Elite Trainer Boxes on Cardboard Hero or Hobbiesville.
4: Crown Zenith
Maybe it is my bias, but I still think Crown Zenith is the best Pokemon Elite Trainer Box investment, period.
Now, that could definitely be argued, but you can’t help but admire the resiliency of a box that was printed into the ground by Pokemon, yet came out the other side a year later stronger than ever.
If you are new to Pokemon investing and haven’t looked into Crown Zenith, it is a fan-favourite. The set features multiple chase cards including Giratina, Mewtwo, and Pikachu. The set also features VERY generous pull rates, leading to a great opening experience for the end consumer, which in turn, reduces sealed supply even further.

As of May 16, 2025, there were only 105 ETBs listed on Ebay below $183.14 USD. With the boxes selling at 6.43 per day, that only gives us about 16 days of inventory before we see a 20% leg up in price.
Again, this is not a science, but from my experience tracking Pokemon investments in the spreadsheet, anything below 20 days of remaining inventory is in striking distance of making a run.
The cheapest Crown Zenith ETBs I can find right now are on Hobbiesville.
5: Prismatic Evolutions (Pokemon Center Exclusive)
This might be me cheating..
The Pokemon Center Exclusive version of the Prismatic Evolutions ETB, is like the regular version, but on steroids. The box comes not just with the regular Eevee promo, but also a second copy of the promo, with an exclusive Pokemon Center stamp, worth much more than the regular version.

On top of this, you also receive two extra booster packs of Prismatic Evolutions compared to the regular ETB.
I already discussed Prismatic Evolutions above, so I won’t go in-depth here, but I will say confidently this is one of the best Pokemon Elite Trainer Box investments you can make right now.
The boxes are already climbing after a restock occurred a couple weeks ago. They are selling at over 25 per day on Ebay and I would not be surprised to see these jump back over $300 USD in the near future.
You can pick up your own Prismatic Evolutions PC ETB on TCGPlayer.
Conclusion: Keep it simple
Pokemon is in a weird spot right now, so investing can be tricky. That’s why my plan is simple, buy the best sets. Crown Zenith and Prismatic are no-brainers that will stand the test of time. Shrouded and Brilliant, a bit more speculative, but have strong short-term potential.
