In this blog, I’m going to discuss the best Pokemon booster boxes to invest in right now. My reasoning will consider multiple factors including current price, perceived popularity, and long-term potential. (Updated 3/2/2025).
1: Evolving Skies
There isn’t much to say here. Evolving Skies is the best set of the modern era and maybe even the best of all time. The set has continued to provide an annualized ROI of over 100% since the set released in 2021.
Even with a price tag over over $1300, Evolving Skies still has a long way to run, especially considering similar S-Tier sets like Team Up from earlier generations are pushing $4000.
2: Chilling Reign
One of the deepest sets from the SWSH era sporting great chases cards like the Blaziken and Galarian Moltres alternate arts.
The box is currently sitting around $310 USD and can be purchased here.
3: Destined Rivals (Preorder)
One of the best Pokemon booster boxes to invest in right now has not released yet. Destined Rivals will be the English set made up of the Japanese sets Heat Wave Arena and Glory of Team Rocket.
The set will feature amazing SIRs including Cynthia’s Garchomp EX and Ethan’s Ho-Oh EX. We will likely also see an SIR Mewtwo EX in Glory of Team Rocket.
Preordering sets can be very difficult in the current environment. I fully recommend a notification service like PokeNotify to get the fastest notifications of when preorders go live.

4: Paldea Evolved
Paldea Evolved is one of the best sets from the SV era. I currently rank it third behind only Twilight Masquerade and Surging Sparks.
The box is nearing two years of age and is rapidly moving out of it’s reprint window.
Paldea Evolved booster boxes include great cards including the new generation 9 starters and their evolutions, Magikarp IR, Raichu IR, and Tyranitar IR.
